Get safe and reliable performance with HiVol® Water Tanks

When it comes to safety and reliability, differences in design are what make PHIL HiVol® Water Tanks the best solution for any quarry or construction application. They deliver superior safety, simplified maintenance and quality you can rely on day in and day out. After all, nothing can slow or stop your operation quicker than an unreliable water truck.

Water Tanks for Rigid-Frame Trucks

Higher quality construction and custom designed

Every HiVol Water Tank is constructed of superior grade steel – a higher grade of steel than any other water tank on the market – which resists corrosion and rust. We are proud to say that every HiVol Water Tank built of this steel shows no signs of corrosion or rust to date.
We customize the design of each HiVol Water Tank based on the characteristics of your operation. Every application has its unique requirements and every HiVol Water Tank is designed to meet those particular requirements.

Patented tank design

Our patented fluid tank baffling system compartmentalizes the water in order to prevent surging and ensure truck stability in any application. Front-to-back baffling and our patented Bacbone™ structure work together with internal fluid surge stabilizers to minimize side-to-side churning for maximum control on haul roads.

This system includes exclusively patented exterior doors and interior man-sized access doors with rust-proof pivots located throughout the tank, allowing natural light to enter and minimizing confined space. The doors simplify maintenance and allows for unrestricted access to any part of the tank interior. No more crawling around in dark water tanks!

The exterior of our tanks are designed with a unique flat top. With virtually no slope, it provides safer footing. In addition, our exclusive lifting eye design provides precise placement for perfect balance when raising the tank.

Simplified water control

Every HiVol Water Tank is equipped with rear-mounted spray heads that operate independently, allowing you to utilize any number of spray heads (or all) at the same time.  Also, an optional  in-cab remote controlled water cannon is available that can disperse water from 150-200 feet on each side of the tank with precise control and accuracy.

Employing an exclusive Soft-Start/Soft-Stop hydraulic valve, you can safely start and stop the water pump at any engine RPM. This allows you to quickly turn the water on at full throttle without damaging your pump. Also, our exclusive Variable Volume feature is an option which allows you to control the water volume with a simple adjustment.

The plumbing system utilizes “Victaulic-style” fittings and has no welded connections, for simple and easy maintenance. The spray heads can also be rebuilt to minimize maintenance costs..

Greater truck utilization

HiVol Water Tanks allow you to haul water to full truck capacity, whereas competitive tanks allow only around 80% utilization. For example, a 240-ton rigid-frame truck with a HiVol Water Tank can haul up to 58,500 gallons of water, but only 52,000 gallons with a competitive tank
