1969, L.B. Philippi and LeRoy Hagenbuch formed Philippi-Hagenbuch,
Inc. (PHIL) with a vision of enhancing the productivity
of off-highway trucks. Our
signature product is the Autogate® Tailgate, the
first commercially successful tailgate ever produced
for off-highway rear dump trucks. Over the years, our
product line has grown to include Specialty Truck Bodies,
Rear Eject Bodies, Bottom Dump Trailers, Water Tanks,
Load Ejectors, Container Handling Systems and other
attachments.

LeRoy
Hagenbuch is the co-founder and President of Philippi-Hagenbuch.
LeRoy is a Registered Professional Engineer and 1966
University of Illinois graduate.
By working with our design and production
departments, LeRoy focuses on off-highway haulage systems
specific to customers’ needs. This emphasis on
engineered customer solutions led to the motto “Helping
You Move Mountains”.
LeRoy is responsible for the development
of over 40 U.S. and corresponding foreign patents.
