Volvo Construction Equipment has entered into an international supply agreement with Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. (PHIL) to offer its customized products and technology including their proprietary ejector bodies, water tanks, J-Hook systems, sticky material carryback solutions in addition to other articulated hauler customizations. This agreement spans the entire Volvo CE articulated hauler product line which includes the A25F, A30F, A35F, A40F standard and full suspension (FS) versions. A Volvo articulated hauler with Philippi-Hagenbuch technology is recognized as an asset in certain construction and mining applications.

PHIL patented ejector body and trailer technology is known for its simplicity and durability to stand up to the demanding environments that articulated haulers encounter. The standard capacity ejector bodies provide a similar volumetric capacity to the Volvo end-dump body. Custom high-volume designs are available for applications that transport lighter density materials such as landfill and refuse operations.

A video has been published of a PHIL Autogate^® Tailgate with Fluidic Seal operating on a Volvo A25F articulated hauler. This video shows how liquid wood / paper pulp is being hauled with minimal leaks* from the loading point to discharge location.

*PHIL does not guarantee a 100% water tight seal. Many factors go into the actual seal provided including the tailgate design, installation, viscosity of material being contained, minor differences in the OEM body, etc. PHIL Autogate^® Tailgates with Fluidic Seals will largely contain most liquid materials, but may leak. As the seals themselves are wear items, replacement of the seals and additional maintenance to maintain the seals including calking of small gaps will be necessary over time.

Danette Swank Announced as President

July 1, 2013: The Hagenbuch Family today announced that Danette Hagenbuch Swank will asume the role of President of the Peoria, Illinois based engineering and manufacturing firm. As the third generation of the Philippi and Hagenbuch family's to occupy this role, Dantte is excited for the challange.

Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. is pleased to announce the issuance of Australian Patent No. 2008316558 for a "Method and apparatus for transitioning a heavy equipment hauling rear loading trailer between transport and loading positions".

The addition of this patent, which is part of Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc.'s family of Lowboy Trailer patents builds upon the technologies utilized in PHIL's high-capacity, rear-loading Lowboy Trailers.
